Music Lessons

We are excited to offer children in Years 3 – 6 the opportunity to learn a musical instrument through the Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust. They can choose to learn a range of instruments including violin, guitar, drums, woodwind, brass or keyboard (please note that for guitar tuition, children are expected to provide their own guitar).

Did you know that learning an instrument:

  1. makes you smarter
  2. improves your social life
  3. helps build confidence
  4. teaches patience
  5. relieves stress
  6. fosters creativity
  7. improves memory

"Exposing children to musical instruments is the key. They are naturally curious and excited about them - and the discipline that parents and kids learn by sticking with it is a lesson in itself."

For all instruments, each child has a shared lesson with one other pupil for 20 minutes or with two others for 30 minutes and 11 lessons within each school term. The cost of music lessons is £64 per instrument for each 11 week term (charged in September, January & April).
